RichFaces is a rich JSF framework with over 100 Ajax components, skins, themes and rich component development kit. Although JSF 2.0 now offers basic Ajax functionality, a rich component library is still needed to build JSF Ajax applications. This session will demonstrate the new RichFaces 4.0 (JSF 2 based) as well as demonstrate what advanced features, customization, flexibility and richness it adds on top of JSF 2.0.
This session will demonstrate and discuss how JavaFX can be used and integrated with JSF.
JavaFX is a new scripting language that runs inside a lightweight Java plug-in. JavaFX Script enables developers to quickly and easily build and deploy Rich Internet Applications (RIA) while utilizing the full power of Java. The pros and cons of JavaFX and JSF as RIA tools will be discussed as well as various JavaFX-JSF integration approaches. Lastly, JavaFX integration with Seam and Spring will be demonstrated.
This session will demonstrate how to build Ajax applications with RichFaces - rich JSF component library.
The session demonstrates how next-generation Web applications can be built with RichFaces and a Seam back end. Examples using the a4j: and rich: tag libraries will be shown as well as examples using different component skins.
The new RichFaces version 4.0 based on JSF 2 will be shown as well. Although JSF 2 now offers basic Ajax functionality (many features inspired by RichFaces), a rich component library is still needed to build JSF Ajax applications. This session will demonstrate the new RichFaces 4.0 and demonstrate what advanced features, customization, flexibility, and richness it adds on top of JSF 2.
Finally, examples using RichFaces with Flex and JavaFX will be shown.
